Dear Tzouanakis Intermediate School Families,
Welcome to another exciting school year! I hope you and your family have enjoyed a wonderful summer filled with opportunities to relax, recharge, and create lasting memories. We are happy to welcome both our returning families and those joining the TZ community for the very first time.
As we begin a new school year, I am filled with anticipation for the opportunities that lie ahead. At Tzouanakis Intermediate School, we believe that every child has the potential to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated staff has been working to prepare welcoming classrooms and a positive environment where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to succeed. All of our spaces are freshly painted and looking spectacular! Our first day of classes is Wednesday, August 5th. Doors open at 7:50 AM. Class begins at 8:10 AM. Breakfast in the classrooms will be part of our morning routine.
This year, we will continue to focus on our commitment to Growing Hearts, Growing Minds. While academic excellence remains a priority, we are equally committed to helping students develop character, resilience, responsibility, and kindness. Through our Houses System, we will encourage students to take risks, celebrate successes, learn from challenges, and become confident learners and compassionate citizens. Our supportive PTO is providing House t-shirts for every student this year! Our House Reveal Day is scheduled for August 7th. This is when students will learn which house their classroom is in.
Strong partnerships between home and school are essential to student success. I encourage you to stay connected throughout the year by reading our newsletters, monitoring ParentSquare communications, attending school events, and reaching out whenever you have questions or concerns. Open communication allows us to work together in providing the best possible educational experience for your child. Whether your child is entering third grade and beginning their journey at TZ or returning as one of our experienced fourth or fifth graders, we are committed to making this school year meaningful and memorable. Our teachers and staff are eager to build relationships with each student and help them discover new strengths, develop new skills, and reach their full potential. Registration information for returning students was emailed with all necessary links. Call our office with any questions, 765-653-4700. New student registration is Thursday, July 23rd, 10 AM to 7 PM at TZ.
Our Back to School Night is August 3rd.
-Third grade: 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM
-Fourth/Fifth grade: 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Kona Ice will be on site along with Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and GCSC Transportation Representatives.
Families can meet staff, visit classrooms, and drop off school supplies.
A supply list is attached. Thanks to our generous PTO for providing most requested supplies. The list includes all items needed from families.
