Parent/Family Update

Dear Parents and Families,

November has come and gone quickly, as it usually does. However, we were able to pack a number of fun and meaningful learning activities into this short month.

From our Veteran’s Day Breakfast to our Thanksgiving-themed learning projects, we enjoyed opportunities to engage our students and community members in positive ways at TZ.

Our teachers are working hard each day not only to teach academics, but also to provide opportunities for collaboration, differentiation, and enrichment. We want every TZ student to have multiple experiences that enhance their learning, and we truly appreciate your continued support.

As we look ahead to December, students will be participating in ILEARN Checkpoint 2. You will have access to these reports, however, teachers are using this data to inform their instruction. It is truly a checkpoint. Teachers will reach out with details on when this assessment will take place for your students' class. More information about this assessment can be found in the flyer below.

We are excited for Elementary Night at McAnally on December 5. Students will receive free admission to the varsity games with a paid adult. Most classrooms have already held their competitions to determine their class representative and alternate. Selected students will shoot between the varsity games at approximately 7 p.m. Additional details are included in the attached flyer.

We are planning a fun month of December, including a calendar of spirit days. Please see the calendar attached below with OPTIONAL dress up days. We hope your student has fun participating!

As we approach the Thanksgiving weekend, we want to pause and say thank you to our parents and families. We truly appreciate your partnership and support.

Warmly,
Lisa Eldridge, Principal
