Academic Bowls

Spell Bowl

Science Bowl

Geography Bee
Sometime in mid-December each 4th & 5th grade class will hold their own classroom geography bee preliminary competition.  The top 10 will be determined by a school-wide second round competition based on the top performers from the first round classroom competitions.  A school-wide final round competition will be held in early January.  The school-wide winner will then take an online qualifying test to determine if they will go on to the state and national competitions.

Cross Country

*Practices are held at GMS.  Students will ride the bus to GMS after school and Mrs. Frank will meet the students at GMS.

itness Intramurals
Practices After School from 3:00-4:00
There are two different sessions, one in the fall and one in the spring.  These are separated by grade level and/or gender.

Wrestling Camp
Practices After School from 3:00-4:15 or 4:45
This is a multi-day each week program that lasts approximately 3-4 weeks.  
Typically this program begins sometime in mid-February.

Fine Arts

Strings Program
Program open to all 4th grade students.  Each 4th grader will have 9 days of instruction with a violin during their regular music class during the third nine week term.  Each 4th grader will have the option to continue with the strings program (at no cost) starting on March 13 with one lesson of instruction Wednesday evenings at TZ from 6:00-7:00PM and one lesson before school each week on Thursdays from 7:20-8:05am.  Look for more information to come home about this program.
5th grade students that were in the program last year will continue in the program this year.  5th grade students in the strings program will have their lesson on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:30PM first semester staring on August 22.
Starting second semester 5th Grade practices before school on Tuesdays from 7:20-8:05AM and on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:00PM at TZ.  This schedule runs January 15-April 30.

This is a fundraiser where students bid to participate in an after school activity hosted by TZ staff.  Students stay after school to participate in the fun activity with other students and staff.  The students receive a snack, as well.
